Hannes Snijder, senior researcher at the Bureau of the National Rapporteur on Human Trafficking, as from August 2009
He previously worked at the Bureau of the National ombudsman. At first as an investigator in the field of police and justice, later as cluster manager and as head of the department for structural research, in which the investigations of the National ombudsman on his own initiative take place. After he studied Dutch law in Utrecht, he worked for The Willem Pompe Institute for criminal law of the faculty of Law of the University of Utrecht. He has among other things investigated the implementation of the regulation of the handling of complaints by the municipal police of Utrecht. At the office of the National ombudsman he was involved in many major investigations to the justness of government conduct in various areas.
Hannes is also entrusted with the daily lead of the BNRM.
His fields of attention at the BNRM are victim support and immigration policy.
